Role Overview

At DWS, Inc., we don’t believe in "down-time." We are looking for a high-energy Delivery Driver & Shop Support team member who enjoys a mix of independent road time and collaborative shop work.

Your primary mission is to ensure our high-quality wood and metal door products reach our clients safely and on time. When you aren't behind the wheel, you are a vital part of our shop support team, jumping in to assist manufacturing and keep our facility running smoothly.

Key Responsibilities

Delivery & Logistics

  • Safe Transport: Load, transport, and deliver heavy door units and frames to construction sites and residential locations.

  • Load Securing: Conduct safety checks and ensure all products are properly secured with straps and padding to prevent damage.

  • Customer Service: Greet customers arriving for pickups and professionally assist them in loading products into their vehicles.

Shop Support

  • Operational Flow: When deliveries are light, assist manufacturing staff with basic tasks and assembly.

  • Facility Upkeep: Handle general shop cleaning, organization, and debris removal.

  • Inventory Management: Assist in moving stock and organizing inventory to maintain a safe, efficient workspace.

Requirements

  • Clean Driving Record: A valid Driver’s License and a clean driving history are required.

  • Physical Stamina: This is a physically demanding role. You must be able to lift, slide, and carry heavy doors and metal frames (regularly 50–75 lbs).

  • The "Can-Do" Attitude: You are just as happy sweeping the shop or helping a customer as you are behind the wheel.

  • Reliability: Punctuality is essential—our customers and our team rely on you.

  • Experience (Plus): Experience driving larger flatbeds or vans is a significant advantage, though not required for a confident, safe driver.

Work Schedule

This is a part-time position. While hours may vary based on delivery volume, we aim to provide a consistent weekly schedule for our team members.

Compensation (SF Bay Area Market)
